Bruce Burkhardt Jr.

General Superintendent

As a fifth generation construction worker, Bruce joined Miller Builders in 2011 with over 35 years of experience, including six years of partnering in his own company.

With past experience in heavy industrial and commercial construction, he has helped grow Miller Builders to its current success. He assists in overall day to day operations, project management, and oversees all field and shop personnel.

Since 2004, Bruce has served on the Encanto Real Utility District, and has served as President since 2017.

Bruce enjoys time with his family and hunting in his spare time. He, his wife of over 20 years, and their three sons currently reside in Spring, TX.

Will Smalling

Director of Pre-Construction

As Director of Pre-Construction, Will Smalling is responsible for identifying projects to submit pricing, evaluating bid pricing and cost analysis, collaborating with vendors and customers during the bid process, negotiating subcontract terms, and assisting in pre-award project planning and coordination with operations.

He brings more than two decades of management and industry experience to his role. Will began his career at Miller Builders in 1998 as an Estimator and Project Manager.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas State University. When Will is not working, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, fishing, and hunting.

Ryan Wells

Operations Manager

Ryan Wells oversees day to day operations for Miller Builders.  Ryan joined Miller Builders in 2006 and leads by example.

Honesty, hard work and a willingness to learn has led Ryan to be a “go to” leader in our company and in the construction industry.  Ryan serves a member of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) & the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC).

He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Industrial Technology-Construction Management and he also has an Associate Degree in Business Management.

Outside of work Ryan enjoys hunting and fishing. Ryan and his wife Ashley live with their two daughters Presley and Gracie in Sugar Land, Texas.
